Pont-A-Mousson 1998

Jo-Ann
29.6.98 - What a long day, this is our longest drive.  Travelled through Champagne on the N3.  Beautiful country, good road not too busy.  Stopped at Chateau de Thierry for lunch (at a pub).  Boys found another game, they're all over the place.  Got back onto the highway, they travel very fast (more than 130km/hr).
Missed turn off to Fey, so took pot luck and came here to Pont-A-Mousson.  Beautiful town square, cobbled streets very ancient.
Petrol stations are unreal.  Even sell alcohol - mainly Champagne.  Diesel goes a long way.  Joshua is eating very well and Christian can't stop eating bread sticks.  Bottled water is great.

Day 4 - Today we're driving to a new town.  On the way we saw a lot of Champagne grapes.  We saw millions of grapes trees and crops.  When we got to the town we saw a cop and all the cops carry revolvers and batons.  We parked in the town and heard a loud bang that sounded like gun shots.  We looked around until we found a shop called "Dynamite".  It had fire crackers and fireworks.  We bought some and let them off at our hotel.  When we were driving I spotted some fighter jets flying around overhead.

Day 4 - We went to Chateau Thierry we went through grapes and took photos of them, then we went to Reims and stopped at a cafe and had a drink and we went in and played a soccer game.  After that we went to Pont-A-Mousson and we found a shop called "Dynamite" it sold firecrackers and fireworks.  We bought some and let them off on a dirt mound and Christians went the furthest.
