Ozoir La Ferriere 1998

Jo-Ann
28.6.98 - A long trip 11hrs, plane was delayed until 12am. Arrived in Paris at 6.55 am, the airport was dismal and circular, saw armed police with machine guns.  Boys travelled well and enjoyed their meals etc. Christian is desperate to spend his money.
A bus came and picked us up at Charles De Gaulle and took us to get our new station wagon - nice green, quite small, just enough room for our bags.  Stephen drove, people over here are fast and mad drivers.  Park anywhere, on any side of the road.
The village Ozior La Ferriere is quaint, historical and clean.  Our B&B is comfortable - strange toilet (no cistern), sucks the stuff away.  Small square bath with a hand held shower. Went for a drive to find Euro Disney and got lost.  Went into McDonald's where a burger costs $10.  Came home and crashed at 6 pm, we all woke up at 4.30am well rested.  Stephen has a sore throat and runny nose.
The boys are really embracing their diary writing.  Joshua has discovered Patisserie and Christian loves eating it.

Day 3 - Today we are just driving around town and looking at shops.  We bought a baguette from the bakery and they taste really good.  At the airport there were guards walking around with machine guns asking about unattended bags looking for bombs.
We went to a cafe that had a soccer game that we played.  There was a french family there that bought us a game for five frances.  The town that we're staying in is soccer mad, they have shops full of soccer stuff.  The Brazilian soccer team is training here as well. Which we might be seeing.

Day 3 - When we got to France we hired a car and the driver drives on the left side and it took dad a long time to stay on the right side of the road.  We are staying in the Au Pavillon Bleu and it has shops.  France have lots of soccer pictures on the window they have lots of Brazilian flags because they got kicked out of the world cup soccer so they are going for Brazil.  I found some brazilian soccer jerseys in the shop but they were too dear.  We went to a cafe that has a soccer game.
