Hotel Reviews 1998 Trip

• Singapore 26.6.98 - Excelsior Hotel - Very cold air-conditioning, adjoining rooms.  Boys had a great time in their own room.
• Ozoir La Ferrier (France) 28.6.98 - Au Pavillon Bleu - Lovely B&B, great restaurant, family run.  Run by Logis en liberte. Surrounded by a lovely forest strange shower very small rooms.
• Pont-A-Mousson (France) 29.6.98 - Comfort Inn Primevere - Like Country Comfort, very modern **** good rating, value for money.  5 Mins from nice town.
• Luxembourg 30.6.98 - very small a long way out of town.
• Schweich (Germany) 1.7.98 - Leinenhof in Leinen - Very small and old but clean, long way out of town, smell of manure, 3rd floor.
• Cochem (Germany) 2.7.98 - Boys had their own room clean 3rd floor. 
• Worms (Germany) 3.7.98 - Asgard Hotel - apartment style 3rd floor, had a lift, very modern and expensive.
• Freudenstadt (Germany) 4.7.98 - Konig Karl Pension - 3rd floor corner room, very noisy clean, not good TV reception.
• Engleberg (Switzerland) 5.7.98 - Eden Hotel - family run spacious, good food, good value in summer. Nice family who did laundry for us but this was expensive.
• Innsbruck (Austria) 9.7.98 - Hotel Sonnenhof - 10 mins out of Innsbruck up a mountain road, quite old and musty.
• St Wolfgang (Austria)10.7.98 - Waldhorn Hotel - 2 rooms, big verandah, small bathroom, clean and tidy.  Did washing, it was on the line for 4 days.
• Gumpleskirchen (Austria) 14.7.98 - Reitmayer Pension - Noisy very near train line, too far from Vienna, nice town with places to eat.
• Padova (Italy) 17.7.98 - Venice Hotel Cosna - old ** very poor.
• Giovinazzo (Italy) 19.7.98 - Lafayette Club Hotel - Modern resort style hotel on Adriatic Coast.
• Valentino Ferry 20.7.98 - Overnight in transit to Greece, old cabin, toilet and shower in room.
• Kalambaka (Greece) 21.7.98 - Very noisy and air-conditioning turned off during the day, laundry done for free.
• Athens (Greece) 23.7.98 - Poseidon Hotel - basic, expensive, close to bus across from the beach.  Corner rooms best.
• Santorini (Greece) 27.7.98 - Theoxina Villas, hot, no Air-conditioning, lovely view, noisy at night.
• Rhodes (Greece) 30.7.98 - C Class hotel, noisy, hot with fans only, busy time of the year.
• Ithaca (Greece) 4.8.98 - Platrithia house.
• MedLink Ferry 23.8.98 - in transit to Brindisi -very nice - get cabin on top floor with shower and bath.
• Sorrento (Italy) 24.8.98 - Sittimo Cielo Hotel - Cliff top hotel overlooking harbour and marina, parking on the roof.  Walking distance to the centre of the town.
• Rome (Italy) 26.8.98 - Augustea Hotel - Very nice would visit again, centrally located, laundry two blocks away - expensive.
• San Donato in Poggio (Italy) 29.8.98 - Azienda La Torre - Villa Francesca, very spacious self contained villa in Tuscan hills near very pretty village.  Christian tuned the TV and boys played soccer in grounds.  Booked through Interhome this was a handy jump off to both Florence and Siena.
• Nice (France) - Servotel Hotel - 3 chimneys Logie, good value.  Unit with laundry facilities near shopping centre close to Nice and Cannes.
• Autrans (France) - La Poste Hotel - Lovely hotel, family run with a great restaurant.  Cheap rooms, very comfortable lovely town and only 30mins from Grenoble.  Laundry down the street very good, Note: don't get haircut at the barbers.
• Sarcey (France) - Le Chatard Hotel - Outside Lyon, modern hotel mostly for business people, had snail puffs for dinner, close to Go Cart track.
• Chiteney (France) - Auberge Du Centre - Close to Blois in the Loire Valley, Nice Hotel quaint & quiet.
• Lieusaint (France) - Le Flamboyant Hotel - Outside Paris, modern hotel.  2 Rooms for the price of one, Laundry only two blocks away.  Access to Euro Disney on highway.
• Paris (France) - Ermitage Hotel - Quaint hotel on Montmartre in the centre of Paris, hard to find.  Had large room all in together, breakfast provided.  Walking distance to the church.
